Prep time: 20 minutes

Cook time: 30 minutes

Total time: 50 minutes

Yield: 12 servings

Ingredients:

1 box vanilla or white cake mix (plus ingredients listed on box)

1 can sweetened condensed milk

1 cup strawberry syrup or strawberry gelatin (prepared)

1 ½ cups fresh strawberries, sliced

2 cups whipped topping (or whipped cream)

1 cup cream cheese, softened

½ cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Crunch Topping:

1 cup crushed golden sandwich cookies (like Golden Oreos)

½ cup freeze-dried strawberries (crushed)

3 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions:

1. Prepare and bake the cake according to package instructions in a 9x13-inch pan. Let it cool slightly.

2. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the cake.

3. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over the cake, followed by the strawberry syrup or gelatin, allowing it to soak into the holes.

4. Let the cake cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

5. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in whipped topping.

6. Spread the creamy mixture evenly over the chilled cake.

7. Layer sliced strawberries on top.

8. Mix crushed cookies, freeze-dried strawberries, and melted butter. Sprinkle evenly over the cake.

9. Chill for another hour before serving for best texture and flavor.

Pro Tip:

For extra flavor, drizzle a little strawberry glaze on top just before serving—it adds shine and an extra burst of sweetness!
