🍤🔥 Easy Cajun Shrimp Rice 🍚🌶️
Bold, spicy shrimp tossed with fluffy rice and veggies — a fast one-pan meal packed with Southern flavor 😋
Ingredients:
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 cups cooked rice (white or jasmine works great)
2 tbsp olive oil or butter
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
½ tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
½ cup diced bell peppers
¼ cup diced onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 green onions, sliced
Optional: pinch of cayenne or red pepper flakes
Instructions:
1. Season shrimp with Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
2. Heat oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Add shrimp and cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and lightly charred. Remove and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, add bell peppers, onion, and garlic. Sauté until softened and fragrant.
5. Stir in cooked rice and toss well to coat with the seasoned oil.
6. Return shrimp to the pan and mix everything together.
7. Cook 2–3 more minutes until heated through.
8. Garnish with green onions and serve hot.
For restaurant-style flavor, use day-old rice — it fries better and stays fluffy instead of mushy 🍚✨
