🥓🧀 Bacon and Cheese-Stuffed Tater Tots 🥔🔥
Crispy, gooey, and bursting with smoky bacon — these tots are next-level snack goals! 🤤
Ingredients:
* 3 cups frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
* 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
* 1 egg
* 1 tsp garlic powder
* Salt & pepper to taste
* 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar or mozzarella (or both)
* 1/2 cup cooked bacon bits
* Oil for frying
* Chopped chives (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix hash browns, flour, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
2. Take a tablespoon of the mixture, flatten slightly, and place a cube of cheese and a few bacon bits in the center.
3. Wrap the mixture around the filling to form a tot. Repeat until all mixture is used.
4. Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
5. Fry the tots in batches for 3–4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
6. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with more bacon bits and chives.
Pro Tip:
Freeze stuffed tots for 15 minutes before frying to help them hold their shape better! ❄️🔥
