Savory, saucy, and oh-so-satisfying! These noodles are packed with flavor and come together fast! 🍯🌶️
Ingredients:
* 8 oz rice noodles or lo mein noodles
* 1 lb ground beef
* 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
* 3 garlic cloves, minced
* 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
* 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
* 1/4 cup brown sugar
* 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce (optional but tasty)
* 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (for thickening)
* 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional for spice)
* 2 green onions, sliced
* Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
3. Add garlic and ginger to the beef and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, and hoisin sauce. Mix well and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes.
5. Pour in the cornstarch slurry and stir until the sauce thickens.
6. Add cooked noodles to the skillet and toss until fully coated in the sauce.
7. Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot!
Pro Tip:
For extra veggies, toss in some shredded carrots, bell peppers, or snap peas when you add the sauce!
