Ingredients:
* 4 large eggs
* 1/2 cup granulated sugar
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
* 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* Powdered sugar (for dusting towel)
* 1 cup heavy whipping cream
* 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (for whipped cream)
* 2 ripe bananas, peeled
* 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus more for drizzling)
* Crushed graham crackers or cookie crumbs (optional, for texture)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 10x15-inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, beat eggs and granulated sugar until pale and fluffy (about 5 minutes). Mix in vanilla.
3. Sift in flour, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold into the egg mixture until smooth.
4. Spread batter evenly in the pan and bake for 12–15 minutes or until the top springs back when touched.
5. While hot, turn the cake onto a clean kitchen towel dusted with powdered sugar. Peel off parchment and gently roll the cake with the towel. Let cool completely.
6. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
7. Unroll the cooled cake, spread whipped cream evenly, and place whole bananas along one edge.
8. Drizzle caramel sauce and carefully re-roll the cake.
9. Chill for 1 hour before slicing. Drizzle with extra caramel and sprinkle crushed cookies on top if desired.
