Box-Mix Turtle Cake
π«π’ Box-Mix Turtle Cake π―π°
A rich, gooey, chocolatey dream layered with caramel, pecans, and all the turtle candy vibes! π’π
Ingredients:
* 1 box chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box – usually eggs, oil, water)
* 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
* 1 jar (12 oz) caramel sauce or topping
* 1 ½ cups chopped pecans
* 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
* Whole pecans for topping (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
2. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to box instructions. Pour half of the batter into the pan and bake for 15 minutes.
3. Remove from oven and immediately drizzle sweetened condensed milk and half of the caramel sauce evenly over the warm cake.
4. Sprinkle chopped pecans and chocolate chips over the caramel layer.
5. Pour the remaining cake batter on top and spread gently.
6. Return to oven and bake for an additional 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
7. Cool slightly, then drizzle the remaining caramel over the top and garnish with whole pecans.
